As an extra treat to mark their 20th anniversary this year, Amr and Khlid Mallassi of pioneering London/Brighton label Catskills Records have compiled a fantastic 20-track playlist. [Click on header to cont.].
The playlist represents some of the music that inspired them to form a label, alongside some of their favourite Catskills Records releases, and a few current things that have tickled their ears. First released as part of Loud & Quiet’s ‘Mates With Taste’ label series, the playlist can now be streamed and shared via Spotify above.
Catskills Records release the album Catskills Records: 20 Years of Victory on 25th November. A huge compilation album offering up label classics from the last 20 years, as well as Brand New Exclusive tracks from Husky Rescue My Shelter and Pepe Deluxé Go Girl Go. The album is available as Download, on Double-CD and on Limited Triple-Gatefold Vinyl (with the vinyl including a surprise rare bootleg in the form of Pepe Deluxé’s That Track!). All art-worked in classic stunning Catskills Records style by Ante Kemppainen (previously known for designing much of the look of the Angry Birds games) and designer Tero Ahonen.
Catskills Records also host two FREE ENTRY nights across Brighton and London with a host of label Guest DJs :
