Late 2015, Memory Maze (aka Gavin Ellis) shed his trademark shimmering synths and recorded an unplugged and stripped back session for Daytrotter, with just his alt-falsetto vocal and accousitic guitar. The result beautiful. The session is now available to stream via Daytrotter.
Clash magazine have premiered the video for Lost Dawn's song 'Rasputin' ["a propulsive yet mature piece of rock songwriting." - Clash]. ‘Rasputin’ is taken from the trio's forthcoming 'Fever' mini-album [released on 5 February via Easy Action]. The 'Rasputin' video is the second of four clips accompanying various album tracks. Watch the video above, where plasticine childhood favourite Morph gets the dark and DIY treatment to a hazy rock soundtrack.
Finishing off last year with a bang, Lost Dawn's self-titled debut album on Easy Action made the 'Top CDs of 2015' poll in Sunday Expresss - one of only 10 albums to make the list, amoung the likes of Lana Del Ray, Wolf Alice and Mercury Rev.
