JPNSGRLS Release Poignant Video for 'Bully For You' via Clash Magazine

Vancouver 4-piece JPNSGRLS have released the beautiful shot and choreographed video for 'Bully For You' via Clash Magazine(Click on header to cont.).

Whilst musically the track is "an explosive slice of raucous rock" (Gigslutz),  lyrically it deals with the senstive issue of  gender inequality, leading to the track being hailed as a "feminist song" (Pop Matters).

The video's director Kevan Funk expanded on the song's subject matter and used it to challenge the glorification of hyper-masculinity and extreme violence, instead creating something compassionate and graceful - as well as unexpected within the video. As Frank explains "the concept gave me the opportunity to play with those expectations in a way that balanced beauty and irony".

'Bully For You' is taken from JPNSGRLS forthcoming second album 'Divorce' which is relased on 22 July via Light Organ Records. For more info on the band, see our roster section.
